Wasabi Japanese Sushi and Grill in Lake Charles

This place is an awesome sushi place and enjoy going their with my wife ... The lighting is a little to dim for eating but other than that its a great place for a lunch date

Almost 5 stars! Only because the rolls don't blow me away. This is one of the few places on Lake Charles that can consistently seat you right away and always has amazing service. Definitely recommend!

Every time I’ve went the staff has been super nice and friendly. The food has always been great as well! Recommend for anyone looking for great food and great service

Delicious - we liked the Christmas roll, pan fried gyoza, miso eggplant, and chicken yakatori.

This is my go to place when I'm the mood for sushi when in Lake Charles area. I much prefer calling in to place my order and it's always ready on time. The sushi is always good but it is a hit and miss if they write the type of sushi you ordered on the top of the to go containers. If you "know your sushi" this may not bother you but I like to try different types of sushi and never know which one is which. This small issue aside Wasabi is great and the staff are always nice, friendly and fast when taking my to go order. I have eaten inside Wasabi and it was nice and simple with fast service.💜🍣🍲

The soup and seafood puff were good!! My specialty sushi roll was good but it had very little meat and way to much rice.

My favorite place to eat. I go easily 2-3 times a week because of just how amazing and affordable Wasabi is. The wait staff is always a pleasure and attentive, the restaurant is usually clean and well taken care of, and the food is so delicious! The sushi rolls are full of all the goodies and the hibachi is always huge and can last up to 3 meals if taken home! Love love love this place!

This is one of my favorite places to go! Food is always fresh, the waitress aren't fast to set you down and leave, and the facility is very clean!

Stopped in for lunch. They were packed. Obviously one of the hot spots for local sushi. It was delicious! 😀 Lots of options and some unique rolls!

Hey man , this little spot has one of the best deals around...they are always nice and service is great ....so the deal is to get the Philidelphia roll $5 (smoked fish)and a chicken hibachi.$10 and share it ...it's the perfect amount of food for 2 moderately hungry folk...I have only had one issue here and it was a computer malfunction that cleared my son's order...so he got his food as we were finishing sharing with him....other than that it's steady Eddy at Wasabi..

Ordered 3 different spicy sushi rolls. They forgot to put the spicy mayo. Instead of remaking it they put it on the side and the rolls itself were super dry.

Would give 3.5 if available. The items I ordered were flavorful and enjoyed. Portion was much more generous than anticipated for which 4+ is deserved and selection of ingredients was above expectations for the price.. Décor is fair, nothing fancy, plain and straightforward. Server came back several times to follow up on our group. Value was excellent, overall an enjoyable experience.

RED BEAN ICE CREAM! YUMMMM!The ambiance in here is great. Lots to look at & fun feeling. The breakfast is great. I love the spinach wrap. My only problem is the hot coffee is way too hot. Every time I have gone, it has burned my tongue and my friend say the same as well. That is why I wanted to write this review in hopes that the owner can check the temperature. Sometimes it even has a burned flavor. The iced coffees are pretty good. The Cali Girl especially. But I prefer to drink hot coffee in the winter so I am forced to go to Starbucks for that. Other than that, it's a great place to hang.

I wish we wouldn't have waited so long to eat here. This place is great and the service was outstanding.

This place has impressive sushi for a fair price and has very quick service. Has not been a wait on both nights we've been there (weekend dinner time). The menu is extensive, the alcohol is cheap (3.50 for a sapporo). The seaweed salad is very good, as are the crab lagoon appetizers. I had the princess roll and definitely recommend it. The reason I didn't give it five stars is the atmosphere/decorations inside. The place looks kind of tacky as a whole and could really use a back patio. Kind of a minor thing but for date nights it takes away from the embiance. Overall though I'd still very much recommend this place if you're craving sushi. Have not been disappointed yet.

Quality food and service keeps bringing us back! We always are prepared to see a crowd when we dine here. Staff is friendly, service is very good and the pricing is fair.The menu is wide and varied, I myself enjoy the sushi and sashimi while my family is more of the steak and shrimp hibachi or rolls which there are a multitude to choose from. Fresh is a must and over the years, this business has only provided the freshest and most delicious Japanese food in Lake Charles. Portions are generous and authentic comes to mind as I have had the pleasure of dining in Japan having experienced the Sushi , sashimi, hibachi and tempura over there. This is a gem. I wish them years of continued business here in Lake Charles!

Ok sushi, lots of rice. Friendly waitstaff. Nigiri was better except for the tuna.

Fast personal service. The food is wonderful. Parking can be a challenge, but the hospitality and food are definitely worth it!

Great food, nice people; atmosphere's a little dark, and they have a songlist on repeat of song covers but the service is always punctual and the food really is on par.

Food was great been service was extremely rude. Asked for for what I usually get spicy California. Was disappointed when I got no spicy mayo. Called to correct it and asked why it wasnt made how I usually got it. The man pretty much called me a liar and told be i was be difficult. There was just no reason for him to talk to me that way.ill buy my sushi someplace else

Excellent service, Clean restaurant, wonderful tasting food. Rice was NOT chewy...Sushi rolls are HUGE. Will not leave hungry. Lunch menu has great prices, selections and portions....will be repeat customer!!!
